ADX @ AES NY 2015 Recap

Nov 18, 2015Uncategorized

It’s a wrap! The 139th International AES Convention is in the books. The result? Resounding success.

On October 29th, 2015, the Empire State beamed blue and white in honor of AES as nearly 18,500 registered attendees and record numbers of Exhibits-Plus badge holders stormed the Javits Center in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen district. Armed with 3 Product Releases, 2 Booths, and the 1st iOS app in the world with integrated ADX Technology, the Audionamix crew had plenty to showcase to the engaged and energized crowd.

The event marked the releases of ADX VVC 2.0 and ADX TRAXTRAX Pro 2.5, which you can see in action on our Vimeo page here. In addition to our dedicated ADX Booth #554, we were invited to participate in the AVID Partner Pavilion where we had the opportunity to showcase VVC 2.0 for our friends at Audiofanzine.

Meanwhile, across the Exhibits floor at Booth 554, eager ears got a sneak peak of DJ Voxchanger, the 1st iOS app in the world with integrated ADX Separation Technology. The app, coming soon to an App Store near you, can separate and transform vocals within any song on your iOS device. Favorite singers become robots, aliens, monsters, older, younger or the opposite gender, all without affecting their backing tracks.

The booth saw a steady stream of new fans and familiar faces, including monotoSTEREO owner and longtime ADX supporter Chris Kissel. We first met two years ago at the exact same location for the 135th AES Convention in NY.

To wrap up the event, we held a raffle for two ADX Tech Packs worth $750, including full versions of TRAX Pro 2.5 and VVC 2.0. Uncle Roy, our grand prize winner, rolled away with the Studio Prize Pack worth over $1000, including the ADX Tech prizes as well as an Ergolab Stealth chair.

Congratulations to the ADX Raffle winners Rich Simmons, Jacki Trinh, and Uncle Roy!

As the convention came to a close and all the Halloween candy was consumed, we packed up the booth and celebrated in style alongside AES members, exhibitors and attendees at the Afterglow Masquerade, then joined Sinners and Saints at QUAD Studios as live performances echoed over a packed Times Square. And so it was that the evening, and AES NY, made their marks on our memories as a whirlwind of excitement, energy and engineer-ability. For those whose paths we crossed, thank you for taking the time to talk and learn about what we do. Until next time, New York. It’s been a real slice!

Happy Halloween from Billiam and ADX Team Members Talisha, Steve, Doc and Ellie (L, R).
